We are seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our vibrant team at our private practice in Surry Hills. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a broad referral range, encompassing various patient presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Work with diverse patient demographics, diagnosing and managing various psychological conditions.
  • Collaborate effectively with our team, contributing to case discussions and group supervision.
  • Participate in continued professional development (CPD) to stay updated with the latest psychological practices and research.
  • Maintain professional records of all patient interactions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development.

Desirable:

  • Experience or special interest in diverse therapeutic areas.

Your Key Responsibilities:
• Providing a warm and professional welcome to clients upon arrival
• Managing incoming phone calls, providing necessary information and redirecting them to the appropriate team member
• Handling client accounts and overseeing billing procedures (prior experience with Medicare rebates is highly regarded)
• Coordinating and managing appointments utilising practice management software (prior experience with Halaxy is desirable)
• Providing general administrative support to our dedicated team of psychologists
• Overseeing the clinic’s social media presence, creating engaging content and managing interactions
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming clinic environment
• Undertaking any other administrative tasks required to support our expanding team
Your Skills & Experience:
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
• Exemplary organisational skills with an aptitude for managing your time effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, practice management software (experience with Halaxy is an asset), and Xero accounting software (if available)
• Experience or interest in managing social media platforms
• Collaborative mindset and a consistently positive professional demeanour
• Prior experience in a reception or administrative role is considered beneficial
• Provisional psychologists looking to gain experience in a supportive setting are encouraged to apply
• Ability to adapt to fluctuating work hours and conditions
